Flawless Hoops Open Gym Rules

1. You must put your name on the play sheet to enter a game.

2. You must have paid open gym fee to sign the sheet.

3. You cannot sign in another player on the sign-in sheet, they will need to sign the sheet on their own.

4. The first game will be played until 11, all games after that will be to 9.

5. All games will have a 10 minute game clock, unless there are more than 25 players then games will be 8 minutes.

6. The game must be completed before you put your name again on the sheet.

7. Your name can only be on the sign-up sheet once.

8. If someone on the sign-up sheet gets picked up on another team you can remove their name in that spot, but you will have to remove your name if you’re still on the sheet.

9. If the game is tied at 1 minute left of the game clock, the clock will stop and the next point wins.

10. When a game is being played there will be no shooting around on the rims.

Game Play Rules

1. Call your own fouls. No And 1.

2. All dead balls must be checked at half-court.

3. When someone calls a foul, respect their call, keep playing.

4. All check balls must be at half court, your team is allowed to get the ball behind half court only on a check ball the others can not cross half court on a check ball.

5. All dead balls under 1 minute will stop the game clock.

6. No cherry picking, if a player doesn’t cross half court on the defense, they are not allowed to be the scoring player until all our players cross half court. 

7. If the two teams are unsure about a call, the person running the clock will determine the call.  If the scorekeeper can’t make a call, the player will shoot for it.

8. If someone is on a fast break and is fouled, it will be considered a clear path foul and the team will be awarded 1 point.

9. If someone does not make a basketball play on foul the team will get 1 point.

Gym Rules

1. Be Respectful of everyone in the gym. 

2. Respect the Gym, please clean up after yourself.

3. Fighting will not be tolerated in the gym, if you fight you will be removed from the gym and not allowed back in indefinitely.

4. Arguing will not be allowed in the gym, if you get 2 warnings in an open gym, you will be asked to leave, if you come back and get 2 more warnings you will not be allowed back in for 1 month.

5. No vocal personal attacks, including insults, harassment, or derogatory words or comments will be used towards any players or volunteers, if caught using derogatory words you will be asked to leave the gym and not allowed back indefinitely.

6. No Stealing, a player caught stealing will not be allowed to return to any Flawless Hoop events.

Definitions

-Indefinitely – for an unlimited or unspecified amount of time.  

-Derogatory – insulting, disrespectful, demeaning, unflattering, or unkind.

 

All Suspensions will be reviewed, and reinstatement will be determined by the Flawless Hoops Board of Directors. All suspensions for all Flawless Hoops activities.
